About Chartist: interactive stock charts
What Chartist is
Chartist is the interactive charting workspace inside Hyper Stocks Terminal. Pick any U.S.-listed stock or ETF, then pan, zoom and study price action with indicators and your own drawings. Charts are free to view without an account.
Timeframes run from intraday to weekly: 1 minute, 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour, daily and weekly. Price can be shown as candles, a line or an area chart.
Indicators
Add volume, moving averages (MA and EMA), RSI and MACD in separate panes beneath price. You can change the colour of indicator lines to suit your layout.
Indicators are included with a free account. If you are new to them, the educational library explains how each one is read.
Support and resistance and drawing tools
Mark up a chart with horizontal support and resistance lines (press H), trend lines, price zones, Fibonacci retracements, parallel channels and a measure tool for price and percentage moves.
Every drawing can be recoloured, locked, hidden or deleted, with undo and redo. Drawings save to your free account; while signed out they last for the session and are kept when you create an account.
Price labels, callouts and chart notes
Give any level a custom price label, so a line reads "Breakout 182.40" instead of a bare number. Labels that include the price update when you move the line.
Callouts and text notes let you add context straight onto the chart, with bullish, bearish, neutral and important colour presets. Notes wrap across several lines and are included when you export the chart as an image.
Company financial snapshot
Open the financial snapshot beside the chart to see revenue, earnings per share, margins, free cash flow and the balance sheet from company filings, with year-over-year change and the reporting period for each figure. The chart stays where you left it.
It uses the same fundamentals as the full Ticker Read, so the numbers match across the platform. Figures a company has not reported are shown as not reported, never estimated.
What is free
Charts, timeframes, indicators, drawing tools, labels, callouts, notes and image export are free. A free account saves your drawings across devices. Hyper Stocks Pro adds Hyper Levels and Hyper Analysis, described below. See pricing for plan details.
Hyper Levels and Hyper Analysis
Hyper Stocks Pro adds Hyper Levels, automated support and resistance plotted on the chart, and Hyper Analysis, a written read of the technical setup. The methodology page explains how these are calculated.
Working with the chart
Reset the view to snap back to recent price, switch to full screen for a larger workspace, and open the full Ticker Read for a company's fundamentals, earnings and catalysts in one click.
Who it is for
Chartist is built for active traders and self-directed investors who plan entries, exits and risk around chart levels. It sits next to the stock scanners, stock pages and research, so you can go from an idea to a marked-up chart quickly.
