Nike (NKE) Pre-earnings Analysis Is there enough to go around? That’s the question that came to mind as we analyzed the Nike trade. The company’s decision to cutout the middleman and go straight to the consumer a few years ago hurt Nike a lot more than it benefitted it, and now they have to compete in a market swarmed with new brands that filled the shelves of those stores (like Foot Locker, FinishLine, etc) when Nike decided to pull away.
